DS Medical was formed in 1979 and was established by Ambulance personnel to supply paramedic and hospital equipment to the ambulance service.
They have latterly expanded to provide equipment for fire and rescue services, paramedic equipment, first aid supplies and more to the NHS, Military, RNLI, Humanitarian Aid Organisations, Coastguards and Police Forces.
They have been in the Fareham Enterprise Centre for a number of years and are very happy there. According to Director Richard Bourke: “The Centre is a great place for a small business. The key factors for DS Medical is the flexibility of the licence structure, business rates and the support services offered at the Centre's main reception”.

Jolly Stitcher is a family run needle craft company who supply a range of knitting wool and fabric. They also have an internet shop and run a number of knitting and quilting workshops.
The business is just over 3 years. They started out organising road-shows locally and now attend some national needlecraft exhibitions. However they realised they would need somewhere to store their products. After hearing about the Centre they took a unit and soon after took another. They now not only supply but have a base for their workshops.
Les Dancy who runs the business with his wife Marilyn has been extremely happy during their time at the Centre. He said: “The Centre offers a great environment, everyone is very friendly and there is a good atmosphere. There are a number of benefits to being here. The rates offer great value, considering everything they cover. It is also great for a start-up business, it means you have an actual business address which is much more professional than a home one. The postal service is also very good.”
Marilyn also adds: “Advice is always available at the Centre, which is a must for new start-ups. The advice we receive from reception staff to management has been invaluable.”
